Watched a few video essays on Persona Q yesterday and all I can say is that I like a lot of media that is either obscure or the fanbase is really divisive about
A good show is going to be a good time but I will be unwell about things that aren't as popular
(Case in point, one of my favourite disney shows is Hailey's on It and I love bashing it. One day I will talk about it more
Honestly that game had really high highs and really low lows. About the third labyrinth in I was either scared to death, struggling or both. But there were some really cool puzzles in them (the haunted house dungeon had some really nerdy riddles that we had to hunt for clues and I liked that format a lot). The boss fights were also not really that hard. I was playing on normal but even then some late game moves are pretty broken (myriad arrows, danse macabre, hassou tobi.) The final boss went down in one turn because both my dps decided to proc heroic gemini and that caused frost link + golden link to hit even more times (apparently quadriple link and infinite link can stack for a max of 11 links...). Overall, the plot was great (made me cry at the 2 times it went hard) and it meshed the themes of persona 3 and 4 very well. After playing it tho, I'm going to take a break from jrpgs and dungeon crawlers for a bit because hoo boy was it lengthy.
I think I want to put persona q in a games blog, I have a lot to say about it
Being Christian is a lot like being in the Persona Fandom because some people don't engage with the source material and make the entire group look bad
Even for myself, I get imposter syndrome sometimes because I don't engage with the source material as often as the "ideal" person (has only played persona q and has not read many of the minor prophets in the Bible), but even then, I don't actively yell at people on twitter for things that I don't understand.
Children are pretty carefree about lots of adult crap that gets beaten into you, I'm pretty jealous
The amount of nonchalance they give to important emails is really nice actually, I wish I could just throw my phone everytime I get a notification
I guess we can learn from each other, they can learn responsibility while we can learn that our feelings matter too
One of my coworkers was teaching the kids how to gamble over at the church yesterday and after a bit of thought, I think it's a testament to the different types of teaching styles out there
On one hand, what he was doing was actually much safer compared to actual gambling, since the tokens they had were earned (and most of the children had a surplus of them), it did allow for risks with minimal negative outcomes (unless an emotional reaction happened but thankfully it didn't..)
What I personally didn't agree with is that he didn't at least set an upper limit for them, or discussed setting an upper limit because a few children got into a fight since they "shared a bank account". Unfortunately this became my problem because 2 of the children "sharing the bank account" were pretty against using game money and unfortunately, I was their main mediator (oh boy...). I eventually did ask the coworker to talk to them because frankly he started this problem he should go fix it.
So while teaching by experience is quite useful for life lessons (tragedies make you remember...), you still have to remember that middle schoolers are still suspectible to dopamine rushes and aren't exactly known for exhibiting self control. And I've seen people get addictions after high school...
afterwards I did some reflection and felt like I was very similar to a helicoptor parent in that situation, I really am becoming my mom (/neg)...
The P4D cover of reach out to the truth is funny gives so much white guy on the dance floor energy (one guy is throwing out literally anything, everyone else is cheering).
Additionally, the white guy dancing killed yet another god because it was too good.
This actaully makes some sense because I've danced like a white man at a wedding and people think I'm good at dancing too.
Kanji also kinda dances like a white man, but with extra white man swagger.
I really need to talk about things that are not persona 4 related
Actually drank a nutritionally respectable amount of water today!
Stay hydrated folks!
I do have some "get to work" strategies (do they work...sometimes?)
If you didn't know already, I don't really know how to code
Today added new things to the soundboard that I have been pretty focused on recently oops on stream to one of my buddies
who is currently studying compsci!
(the engineers couldn't make it for reasons)
we both bonded over how spaghetti our code was (if it works it works lol)
I think I'm getting a better grasp on website development now. Soundboard buttons don't take as long as they used to and I can remember some of the important tags.
I guess the person who said that art changes you in development was saying the truth!
Instead of doing my Sunday quiz in online class no seriously why is it due on a SUNDAY
I spent some time making small changes to some pages on this website
For Starters: I have a navigation bar to the thinkle archive now
It really doesn't make a difference for Y'all, but it helps make my copy pasting blog entries less tedious since I removed the header div
easy for me to grab em' all and go
Next: I added a headphone warning to the soundboard because multiple people said it jumpscared them, honestly I'm very sorry for that
on an unrelated note, I sent this to some Metaphor Re:Fantazio fans today
rip Strohl's arc, you got shafted in the manga
I went home a little later than usual today
The Music Undergraduate Association were protesting that they could practice in a bigger space
honestly they should protest more because their music was fire
A lot of stuff happened this week, including
for the two people that may be wondering why I haven't done much to the website recently...
I'm gonna make a new layout!!!
I've also learned javascript for some memes, it took me a while but I can make sound memes now...if neocities lets me upload audio :(

pretty monumental day for me since this isn't my first one, fifth time's the charm amirite???
Honestly I'm pretty worried for the other drivers on the road
My area removed the second road exam and don't test highways anymore
I hope all the new drivers learn how to enter highways safely and confidently
On another note, the DMV is next to a store that sold Coriander Doritos
I think Strohl's similarities to Yu Narukami actaully go deeper than just looks because we got
Sholmes is also here mostly because of the colour palette
and also because someone on reddit said so
additional note: hover over Strohl
